ANALOGatHEART

ANALOGatHEART is a passion project, which focuses fully on analog black and white photography. Every single step in the process of creating a photograph is made truly analog. From the moment of taking the picture till the moment of developing the final print. Every working step is handmade and truly analog. This process allows every single print to be unique and an individually print on its own with all the beauty of analog film.

The photographs are shot exclusively on black and white analog film (mostly ILFORD HP5). The exposed films are developed by hand in the darkroom – this is where all the magic of developing happens. In the darkroom the photo prints are getting enlarged, developed and the final look of every single picture is defined. All prints are developed on professional ILFORD PE-Photopaper. After the retouching process by brush, where remaining dust and stains is removed, the final print is ready for you to be hung up!

Thomas Tröger is an Austrian photographer and filmmaker based in Berlin. He started photographing in the early years of 2000. During his beginning he only photographed digitally and didn't come in contact with analog photography before his studies. Since then he has fallen in love with the analog way, his beauty, his flaws and the new learned appreciation of every single photograph.
